Privacy
The one sentence version: we store what you give us to keep a memory palace, we sell nothing about you to anyone, and we track as little as we can get away with.
What we store
Your account email and profile name. Reservation and purchase records (payment card details live with Polar, our payment processor; we never see them). Memory palace content you upload: photographs, letters, voice recordings, dates, words. Visitor contributions: offerings, remembrances, comments, and the display name they were left under. Basic technical logs needed to keep the service running and safe.
Where it lives
Our database and file storage run on Supabase (hosted in Mumbai, India). The website is delivered by Cloudflare. Transactional email is sent through Resend. Payments are processed by Polar (US), the merchant of record for purchases.
Advertising
We run search ads. The site uses Google ad tags to measure how they perform.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share your data for advertising. Our emails carry no open or click tracking. A memory palace is a place of grief, and grief is not a data product.
Public and private
Memory palaces you publish are public by design; that is the point of a memory palace. Your account details, unpublished drafts, and hidden content are private. You control visitor contributions on your memory palaces.
Your rights
You can export your memory palace content, your photographs, recordings and writings, with very large archives sent to you on request, and you can correct your data or delete your account from your account settings or by writing to support@hereafterall.com. Account deletion removes your personal data; a family’s kept memory palace is only deleted at the owner’s request, because it may be the last place a person is remembered. Deletion requests are completed within 30 days.
Children
The service is for adults. Memory palaces may honour anyone, but account holders must be 18 or older.
Changes
If this policy changes, account holders hear it from us by email first.
