Terms of service
Plainly worded, and meant to be read. If anything here is unclear, write to us and a person will answer.
Who we are
Here After All is a service of Ravenspirit Media Private Limited, India (“we”). It is a digital memory palace estate: rendered landscapes where families keep permanent plots, memory palaces, and remembrances for people they have lost.
What you purchase
A plot purchase is a one time payment for a named plot in one of our realms, its memory palace, and the keeping of the memory palace content you place there. Payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record; Polar’s terms govern the payment transaction itself.
The permanence promise, plainly worded
We intend Here After All to outlast us all, and we build for that. What we promise in law is this: your plot and memory palace will be kept and publicly reachable for the life of the service. If the service ever had to close, we commit to at least 90 days’ notice, a full export of your memory palace content, and our best efforts to preserve the memory palaces in a read only archive. We will never quietly delete a kept memory palace.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us the license needed to store, display, and render it within the service. You promise you have the right to share what you upload, including images of the person you are remembering. Memory palace content may be visible to visitors according to the visibility settings you choose.
The keeper of a memory palace can export its content at any time: the memory palace, its remembrances, and the photographs, recordings and writings placed there. Very large archives are sent to you on request, so no size limit stands between you and your own files.
Families and disputes
A memory palace must be created in good faith by someone with the standing to remember the person: usually a family member, a close friend the family trusts, or an executor. If a credible dispute reaches us, for example from an estranged relative, competing branches of a family, or the estate’s executor, we may temporarily unpublish the memory palace while we look into it, so that nothing harmful stays public during a review. We decide in good faith, and we give weight to the people closest to the person. Nothing here removes your right to export what you uploaded.
Dignity, our only content rule
This is a place of honour. We do not restrict how you honour your loved one, and we never edit your grief. We reserve the right to remove only content that is unlawful, that targets or harasses a living person, that impersonates a family that has not consented, or that desecrates someone else’s memory palace. Statue likenesses pass a human dignity review before public display: assurance of craft, never censorship.
No resurrection
We do not create conversational, voiced, or animated recreations of the deceased, and the service may not be used to do so. Statues, images, voice recordings made in life, and words are memorial; imitation is not.
Accounts and keepers
You are responsible for your account. Family members you invite share the keeping according to the permissions you give them. You can moderate, hide, or block visitor contributions to your memory palaces at any time.
Refunds
Per our refund policy, incorporated into these terms.
Liability
The service is provided with care but as is; to the extent law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.
Changes
If we change these terms, we tell account holders by email before the change takes effect. We will never change the permanence promise retroactively to a kept plot’s disadvantage.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India; disputes go first to a human being at support@hereafterall.com.
